Book Lists, Miss Lindsey's Lists

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Cultures

Miss Lindsey put together an incredible list of picture books that celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Cultures.

These picture books are written and illustrated by Indigenous peoples of many tribes, celebrating their respective cultures as well as sharing their languages and knowledge. Many are Miss Lindsey’s favorites. Some she discovered from Dr. Debbie Reese of Nambé Pueblo, who educates through critical analysis of Indigenous peoples represented in children’s and young adult media and literature.
